David K. Boyd knew he had a skill for voice-over at an early age growing up in Denver, Colorado. For fun, he would often imitate his favorite characters, from Ace Ventura, Bill Cosby to Gizmo, while heavily influenced by his father, a preacher and his mother, who worked in politics. Both his parents pushed him to be heard and use his voice for good.
He attended Thomas Jefferson High School in South Denver where he performed in the voice ensemble, dance performances and school plays. He realized his potential in high school when his music teacher consistently provided positive and constructive feedback on his performance.
David went on to graduate from college with his undergrad in Business Administration from Fisk University in Nashville, TN. Although he was not a member, the Fisk Jubilee Singers swayed his love for voice over. He also received his Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership at Regis University in Denver, CO. He is currently on the Communication Liaison team at his local church and in a local active speaker and leader for Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
